Data we read

Read

  • Event start and end time
  • Cancelled flag and event type
  • Organizer email
  • Attendee email and response status
  • A stable event identifier

Not read

  • Subject or title
  • Body or notes
  • Location
  • Online-meeting links
  • Attendee display names
  • Categories or sensitivity labels

Same storage rules as Google Calendar: only attendees who are verified members of your organization are kept, only future meetings with 2 to 50 attendees that include at least two members are stored, and the stored title is always empty.

How the data is used

  • Prompts members to watch an intro before meeting someone new, by Slack direct message when available, otherwise email.

Sync frequency

Every 5 minutes, incrementally, over a rolling 14-day look-ahead window.

Disconnecting and purging data

How: The member's settings, Disconnect Microsoft Calendar.

  • Pending prompts for that member's meetings are cancelled.
  • Our stored connection is deleted, and the synced meetings and attendees that came from it are deleted with it.
  • Also remove access in your Microsoft account's app permissions to revoke it on Microsoft's side.

What remains: Synced meeting data is removed when the member disconnects. Nothing further is retained from the calendar.
